I love this one. Great work with the blurred BG, (I actually like that you left it so rough) and the destorted perspektive. I like the robo-construction to. I would like to see some space ships or something in the background just to add even more depth. But im not sure it would work.

Great concpet art, specialy the color definitions. You have gave good shading and lighting effects, if the pic would be fully detailed, probably I would be searching now for my jaw somewhere under my chair I only missed perspective / blur of the right building. If it's on the front of the pic or in front of the robot you should show that more with shading I thnik, or give it to the most front. Anyway good job, my vote +6, for really really good concept art

I really like the right hand side of the picture, but I feel that the left hand side is lacking something in the colouring of the robot er.. thing. The lighting and colouring seems a bit obvious, in comparison to the more subtle right hand side.

Looks nice! I really like the forms & lighting...good detail work as well! The composition is bugging me a little though...with the back arm being right behind the light beam, there's a lot of visual tension right next to the edge. Maybe if the arm was back more; more behind the body of the robot it would work better? Still, nice work. +8

Great piece. I like your lighting and the way you simulate focal depth. I only have two crits / suggestions. First, if the beam of light coming out of the head is so straight, then how is it lighting the robot? I would suggest making a wider cone of light, but fade its edges softly. Second, if the background buildings were tinted slightly more like the colour of the sky, it would give more of a sense of depth. Nice work.

ChrisThatGuy makes a good point about the shoulder light; it's hard to understand why it would be illuminating to the side, rather than the direction the robot's looking. Still, you did an excellent with your color pallet, atmosphere and technique.

structure to the right is a little dark, i think. that's not so bad considering it drew me to notice the windows [i'm guessing] i really like the way you painted the light coming through. actually, i really like how you painted the entire background, really. contrasts interestingly with the more finely tuned cyclopean machinery stomping around...freakin' excellent work.

The head doesn't really appear to be much in front of the shoulder, I thought it was the shoulder joint at 1st glance. Then i realized that it was the head facing left and the shoulder is behind it. If the robot's right arm had a bit more depth (shading and angled back a bit more) it would be easier to recognize. Other than that I think this is a great pic. The bulbous joint design gives the robot a more realistic feel, and the stance is effective.
